Computers bar bar black sheep
Coppers rejoice
Coppers down under might start using a computer network to stop drunken yobs from going from one bar to another.
The computerized security system allows Aussie coppers to stop troublemakers moving from one bar or club to another. The system, which is being tested in some night clubs, requires punters to present ID before they enter a venue.
If someone causes trouble they can be barred by the landlord in one venue and then every pub in town. According to the Geelong Advertiser while the current security system allowed individual venues to block patrons, the police would be given the technology to digitally ban problem patrons from all venues.
