It appears that the launch of Google's Nexus 7 is a painful thorn in Amazon's pride as its Kindle Fire is now on route for the UK, according to a post over at the The Inq.

Two retailers, part of the Dixons Retail group, has disclosed info that Amazon's Kindle Fire is predicted to be in a top 10 best-selling Christmas gifts of 2012. Of course, predicting something to be a big hit on Christmas sounds pretty hilarious, but a representative told The Inquirer that it should be on sale around October.

Same two retailers are predicting that Google's Nexus 7 will actually outsell the Kindle Fire during Christmas.

Unfortunately, the price or the precise date have not been announced.
