Nokia is distancing itself from comments made by outgoing chairman Jorma Ollila, who said the Finnish outfit is working on several tablets and new form factors.

Nokia claims Ollila’s comments were misconstrued and the company will not make any announcements regarding tablet products anytime soon. However, a Nvidia spokesman told eWEEK that the company is “watching the (tablet) space with interest.”

Of course, this is unlikely to halt further speculation as most punters and analysts believe Nokia will launch Windows tablets by the end of the year, as soon as the OS and new Qualcomm chips become available.
