PC shipments totaled 85.6 million units, up 3.7 percent sequentially and 6 percent year-over-year. Lenovo boasts the strongest growth, with about 10.2 million PCs shipped in Q2, up 25.6 percent from Q1. Acer on the other hand had an underwhelming quarter. It was down 4 percent compared to Q1, and 20 percent year-over-year.
In overall rankings HP managed to hold on to first spot with 15.3 million units and no significant growth. Dell’s share grew by 6.1 percent for a total of 11.1 million units. Asus ranked fifth with 4.5 million units and 5.3 percent growth.
