Software giant Microsoft has been dragged into court by a man who claims its Zune player damaged his hearing.

Joel Geddis claims that his Zune gave him an electric shock through the earbuds. The software reset and made a loud noise through the earbuds. He said that he had suffered blood and fluid leakage from his ear canal, impaired hearing, and incessant ringing and discomfort.

Microsoft apparently told him that he was not the only one, and asked him for his medical records and requested he returned the defective Zune.
