GameStop will be offering a 500GB refurbished PlayStation 3 Supercharged package. The effort is a new unique way to move PlayStation 3 inventory by making it more attractive than buying a new one. Refurbisher Recharged is handling packaging of this refurbished offering for GameStop.

The Supercharged package includes a Western Digital Scorpio 500GB Blue hard drive bundled with the PlayStation 3 slim, as well as a special Supercharged console skin, media hub, remote, HDMI cable, charging stand, and a one-year warranty.

The console will come with the 500GB hard drive already installed, formatted for PS3, and include all of the latest updates for the PlayStation 3. The price is $399 for the package and you can purchase it from GameStop both in store and online.

The idea is actually a good one and provides a good value when compared to other used PS3 options, and even compares well when you look at it versus a new PlayStation 3. You have to give GameStop credit for coming up with an innovative way to move some of their used PlayStation 3 inventory and we suspect that it will be quite popular with buyers.
