Logitech has announced a quite interesting 5.1 speaker system that will not hurt your wallet and should appeal to a wide population of budget minded consumers, the Z506 5.1. The new Z506 can be connected to wide variety of devices via 3.5mm input and RCA connection so consoles, computers and media/MP3 players are pretty much covered.

Despite its quite interesting US $100 price tag, the Z506 offers quite a punch with its 27W subwoofer, four 8W speakers and a 16W center speaker. All adds to 75W of RMS power and Logitech even added the support for 3D Stereo surround sound.

The Z506 should show up in retail sometime next month.
