Apple has announced that it has lowered its widescreen prices. Now you would have to pay $599 for the 20", $899 for the 23" and $1799 for the 30". The biggest price drop comes with the 30" screen, which price varied from $2000-2400.
As we have found out at Cebit, there is an
increasing demand of cheaper 20-24 inch widescreens. To fulfill this demand
most of the brands will offer even lower priced screens with lower quality matrices
(some of the slower TN will do the job).
Apple will keep the quality level of
its screens, and will not replace the existing matrices with cheaper ones.
