Xiaomi's sub-brand, Black Shark, has released its third-generation gaming smartphone, and although it will first launch in China, Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro will be bringing their unique gaming-oriented features to the global market at a later date.

As teased earlier by Xiaomi, the company has now unveiled the successor, or rather updated version of its Black Shark gaming smartphone, the Black Shark Helo.

It appears that Razer's Phone and Xiaomi's Black Shark could be getting some competition in the gaming smartphone market from Asus as the company's CEO, Jerry Shen, hinted at such a possibility.

Xiaomi has another rather interesting phone in the pipeline. This time it is a gaming phone, something to succeed Razer. The phone - codenamed Blackshark - comes with the Snapdragon 845 and 8GB of RAM. The codename could actually even be the product name as apparently Xiaomi owns a company with the same name.
