Game Ready and RTX Ready driver

Nvidia has released its newest Geforce 411.63 WHQL driver which is both the Game Ready driver for a couple of new games as well as an RTX Ready driver, bringing support for its latest RTX series graphics cards, which should be shipping to their first customers as of yesterday.

Lack of competition dictates

Lack of competition is what allows Nvidia to price products however high it wants to and even lets its AIB partners go a little bit crazier with their custom cards. RTX is definitely a step forward in computer graphics but it will take time for RayTracing to become really necessary and get down to reasonably priced markets.

Preparing for the availability of its first Geforce RTX 20-series graphics cards, Nvidia has also released all the gaming trailers and demos that use some of the RTX technologies, like the Ray Tracing.

Brings 4K HDR 60Hz on a single card

Nvidia has decided to share some of the details regarding the performance of its upcoming Geforce RTX 20-series, specifically for the Geforce RTX 2080, which should roughly end up around 1.5x to 2x faster than the previous generation.

Some games will only get DLSS

Following the previous announcement of the new Geforce RTX series, Nvidia has now disclosed a few more details about which games will actually adopt Ray Tracing and which will focus on Deep Learning Super-Sampling.

On retail/e-tail shelves on September 20th

During his keynote ahead of the Gamescom 2018 show, Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang officially unveiled the new Geforce RTX series, which is already available for pre-order and which will be on shelves on September 20th.

AMD cannot challenge this

It will be extremely hard and almost impossible for AMD to stay relevant in performance and high end gaming. With the introduction of Geforce Turing based 20 series RTX cards, Nvidia is putting in place a hard to reach distance between AMD Radeon graphics and Geforce. When we say Nvidia will rule high end in 2019, we of course mean the rest of 2018 too.

As you already know, Nvidia will be holding the big Geforce Gaming Celebration event ahead of Gamescom 2018 in Cologne, Germany, and it will be streamed live on Twitch.

Nvidia has released its financial report for the second quarter of fiscal 2019, reporting revenues of  $3.12 billion, as well as growth in revenue from every department in the company.

Fixes windowed G-Sync issues

Nvidia G-Sync users have been plagued by an issue since Windows 10 April 2018 but thankfully, Nvidia has now released a hotfix driver which fixes the so-called "windowed G-Sync" bug, the Geforce 398.86 Hotfix driver.
