Core i7 6700 TDP is 65W, down from 84W with Haswell

The Intel Business PC platform will get a serious update in the form of a new Skylake-S based processor.

35W targets low power market

Intel plans to release a 35W TDP Skylake-S processor in Q3 2015 and this CPU is set to replace the Core i7 4790T. 

Broadwell-E coming next year

A new Intel roadmap suggests the first Broadwell LGA parts will launch in Q2, while Skylake-S parts will come in Q3. 

4.2GHz boost quad-core

It looks like there will be plenty of Skylake products and Skylake-S will be the true successor of Haswell / Haswell refresh processors. 

No Broadwell for desktop business customers

Currently the fastest Core i7 for business customers that supports Intel vPro is the Core i7 4790. 

IDF 2015 August launch possible

This year's Intel Developers Forum will start in Mid-August, not in mid-September as usual. One possible reason for the change might be the Skylake desktop launch, that is expected at this time.
