Back in October Fudzilla asked Cristiano Amon, now President and Alex Katouzian VP and general manager of the mobile business at Qualcomm about the future of Gigabit LTE modems and we got a clear indication that things will be faster using the 1.2 GHz Snapdragon X20. The company has just announced that the Snapdragon X24 is the first 7nm chip and not only that, it supports 2Gbps speeds.

One thing we came away with from yesterday’s big Qualcomm announcement that 20 companies are committed to coming to market in 2019 with Qualcomm X50 NR based devices. Cristiano Amon, the President of Qualcomm just confirmed that Samsung is also on board with the X50.

We shouldn't  be surprised, but  GPU sales have skyrocketed over the last few quarters. Our colleagues from the press have criticized AMD for Radeon Vega, but AMD sold every single one. Samsung has been fighting Qualcomm with its own Exynos but the global patent cross-license agreement as well as a multi-year strategic relationship agreement sends a strong no-buy message to Broadcom.
