The Kirin 960 is a 16nm SoC, that powered the Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro, and is quite powerful, but it seems that Huawei plans a Kirin 970 SoC made using the 10nm FinFET manufacturing process and with obviously faster performance at lower energy consumption. 

With both Kirin and Qualcomm devices

Fudzilla has an official note from Huawei saying it will be one of the first companies to support Daydream, Google’s platform for high performance mobile virtual reality.

Cortex A72 with 16nm TSMC FinFET

Huawei, the company that is probably the hardest to pronounce in tech has officially unveiled its Kirin 950 first FinFET 16nm based processor.

There is a big chance that Huawei is going to officially launch Kirin 950 tomorrow and the first Geekbench benchmarks have already leaked. 

Cheaper and more efficient

Huawei has dispensed with big Cortex-A57 cores in favour of tweaked Cortex-A53 cores on its new flagship SoC.
