5G is a transformational technology that will change the decade and enable new scenarios as well as business models. With that in mind, Xilinx has just announced that with a few other industry players, it is building a next-generation wireless radio network to drive 5G innovation using open radio-access network (O-RAN) standards for Telefonica.
