Browsing the pricelists in the Euroland, mainly oriented to Germany and Austrian market we learned that 500 GB drive can be purchased for less than a €100.

Just a year earlier you had to pay three times more for the same drive and this brings us to a point where you pay €200 for a Terabyte. For this money you will get a Samsung SATA II drive with 16 MB of cache and that is a nice deal.

We can only say that storage got really cheap as I can remember getting 80 GB drive some five years ago for close to €200 and that was not the top one.
