Hard drive prices really went down. Today you can buy a 500GB hard drive for as little as €110, which means if you put two of these drives you will get 1 Terabyte for only €220.

Hard drive prices and memory prices have tumbled like crazy and it is getting hard to convince users to buy new and bigger hard drives, as you don’t gain any real performance with bigger ones. You can download more and install more software, but that is about it.
