Search engine Google is open-sourcing its Cardboard viewers to make sure that the “no-frills, accessible-to-everyone” VR project does not go to waste. 

More virtual vapourware expected

Google is researching into a more virtual realtiy technology which will probably just end up in the beta stage before the search engine gives up on the whole project.

Not sure if this ever will be a product

Software giant Microsoft has been showing off its version of Google cardboard which is basically a cheap way of turning your phone into virtual reality device.
