Gary Brotman, a senior director of product management focused on AI, dropped a bomb on the competition confirming that the 4^th generation AI platform from Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 is twice times faster than its 7nm Android based competitor.

Qualcomm’s Druga Mallardi, an SVP and general manager of 4G and 5G, has announced the wireless building blocks of the Snapdragon 855. It packs 2Gbps Gigabit LTE, 5G, WiFi 6 and 60GHz WiFi.

Samsung’s Justin Denison, SVP of product strategy and marketing in the US,  confirmed that the 5G Samsung phone comes with a Snapdragon 855 SoC and obviously using a Snapdragon X50 modem.

2X AI performance over 7nm Kirin

Alex Katouzian, a senior vice president ( SVP) of Qualcomm and the general manager of mobile, has announced the Snapdragon 855. He went into a few details leaving full disclosure for tomorrow, but he did say that its AI performance is twice as fast than the 7nm Android device.
