However, although these cheap processors are long gone, a couple of German retailers are still selling Asus’ ultrathin UX30 13-incher. Although it was introduced a year and a half ago, the UX30 is our deal of the day and here is why.
First of all it still looks damn nice, it’s under 20mm thick it weighs just 1.45kg. It’s powered by a dual-core SU7300 processor at 1.3GHz and it packs 4GB of memory along with 320GB of storage. What’s more, we are talking about a premium product, it cost €999 when it launched, hence Asus spared no expense on materials and build quality.
Although it’s an obsolete piece of kit, at €449 it is nothing short of a bargain. There are very few ultrathin 13-inchers that come even close in terms of pricing and the ones that do are usually cheap plastic designs powered by Atoms or Brazos processors.
