Better DirectX 12 support than Polaris

According to the latest report, the upcoming AMD Radeon RX Vega graphics card will have support for more graphics features, thanks to support for DirectX 12 level 12.1.

Barely beats GTX 1080 in 3DMark 11

It has been a while since we saw a benchmark leak of the upcoming consumer-oriented Radeon RX Vega graphics card but the latest one from 3DMark 11 shows a bit more details.

Gaming and Pro modes

Now that the AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition is out and about, we have been getting a lot more details and it is just a matter of time before we see more benchmarks. It also appears that the Vega FE comes with a special Radeon Pro Software driver with Pro and Gaming modes, that can be switched on the fly.

Holds its ground against Titan Xp

While we are still waiting for AMD to release its consumer Radeon graphics card based on the new Vega GPU, the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition, one meant for professionals, has been previewed and compared to the Nvidia Titan Xp.

MSI marketing director spills the beans

While it certainly does not come as a big surprise, unnamed MSI's marketing director has revealed that the upcoming AMD Radeon RX Vega graphics card "needs a damn lot of power".

For Machine and Deep Learning

During its EPYC launch event yesterday, AMD  unveiled a full range of Radeon Instinct accelerators meant for both deep and machine learning, including the MI25 deep learning accelerator, based on Vega GPU and MI8 and MI6 machine learning accelerators, based on Fiji and Polaris GPUs.

AMD's upcoming Radeon Vega Frontier Edition graphics card have been spotted for pre-order in both the UK and the US, available in air- and liquid-cooled versions and starting at US $1199.
