Will be pulling out all the stops to promote

Microsoft is said to be planning the largest and most massive advertising and promotional push that the company has ever embarked on to promote the release of Halo: Reach, according to our sources. We are being told that we can expect marketing on a grander scale than we saw with the release of Halo: ODST.

The push will include pre-order bonuses, extravagant media/print campaign, and a two-and-a-half minute live action TV trailer. Sources tell us that Microsoft will be spending more dollars in such a way that consumers can expect to be saturated with Halo: Reach. Whispers suggest that it will be the biggest marketing campaign for an Xbox 360 title ever and it will cost a lot of money, but Microsoft is expecting sales that should rival Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Moles do tell us that part of the reason for Microsoft to pull out all of the stops on the Halo: Reach release is an attempt to sell more copies; but a very real concern with all of the other titles that are coming out during the same time frame that Halo: Reach means that it does face some competition, and it is necessary to maintain momentum and sell the maximum copies that the title is able to achieve.

While the multiplayer beta for Halo: Reach will be starting in a few short weeks for those that purchased Halo: ODST, the first looks by the media have been very positive and seem to indicate that this could be the best Halo game that Bungie has ever produced.
