Charged multiple times

Warhammer players have been finding that their bank accounts have been smashed as if it pummelled by a plus five two handed hammer weilded by a dwarf with a ship on his shoulder about his height.

According to the Warhammer forums people who had their subscription to the role playing site on direct debit had their bank accounts charged several times. In some cases a $15 account was charged by more than $500. The charges have come out in $15 increments which seem to indicate that Mythic Entertainments billed users several times.

Of course when players complained they expected Mythic Entertainments , which runs the game, to refund them the money and any overdraft charges they might have got as a result of the over-charge.

Initially the gamers thought that the problems were caused by Mythic Entertainments servers being hacked and backing details being stolen. Mythic Entertainments said they did a check and that never happened. When we last looked on the board, Andy Belford, Community Coordinator at Mythic Entertainment said that the site's security was fine and these “unfortunate events of overcharging” were nothing more than a billing error which is being expeditiously dealt with through its vendor.

One user pointed out that overbillings were happening far too frequently on the site and the outfit should set up a pay as you go form of billing until the outfit got its act sorted out.
