An Illinois teen ended up behind bars Thursday after posting threats to other students on Facebook.
The unnamed 17-year-old student at Joliet Catholic
Academy was taken into custody after several students noticed an
argument on Facebook, in which he made repeated threats of violence
against his fellow students. Being the good kids that they are, they
told their parents about it, who proceeded to inform the authorities.
The row was apparently started over a girl or an Xbox game, and
investigators are believe the argument might have been motivation for
the threats. Joliet
Police Chief Fred Hayes says the teen will probably be charged during
the day, and a police search of the student's car and locker for
weapons yielded none.
