Our sources indicate that ATI expects R670 cards in January. As far as we know, the R670 is made of two RV670, 55 nanometre chips and it should be sufficient to defeat the Geforce 8800 Ultra, at least this is what ATI hopes.
If all goes well and the R670 arrives on time in January, then ATI has a chance to release R700 within six months from this day and stick to its new strategy.
ATI will miss the Xmas sale with this new card but that doesn’t surprised us at all.
