Agreement reached with Hasbro
Some of board game maker Hasbro, Inc.’s most popular games will be created into electronic games by Electronic Arts, Inc. under a licensing agreement just negotiated between Hasbro and EA that will be in effect through 2013.
Among the games reported to be included in the agreement are Scrabble, Monopoly and Yahtzee. The first games to be created will be launched in 2008, with EA holding worldwide rights to create the digital games for Internet gaming and electronic devices, including mobile phones.
