Development shifted to next generation using CryEngine

The Quya prequel to Human Element that was in development by the Robert Bowling led Robotoki studios was apparently killed off some time ago, but the word is just hitting now as Bowling has confirmed in his Twitter feed that due to the shift in development to a next generation title for Human Element using the CryEngine, it just didn’t work out do to the shift in focus.

What we do know about Human Element is that it is on track to a PC launch in November of 2015 with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions to follow the PC launch at some point afterward. A mobile version of some sort is expected to follow the release of the PC version according to Bowling.

The news comes as another in a series of blows to the Ouya which was the Android powered gaming console that started life as a Kickstarter project that gained significant support. Ouya has struggled to life up the potential that it appeared to have when it was launched. Still Ouya has been trying to turn things around, but attracting developers and new innovative titles continues to be an issue for the Oyua.
