It will take time, but it will happen

After complaining loudly about the cost Microsoft was charging for recertification of patches to games already deployed, Phil Fish from Polytron confirms via his Twitter feed that a patch to address outstanding issues with the Xbox 360 version of Fez is coming.

The good news that a patch is coming is sure to make a lot of Fez fans pleased. The bad news is that Fish says it will take a few months to get the patch completed and ready for release. This means the patch will address the save corruption issue that caused problems for a number of players.

Fish reversed his decision to leave things as they were when Microsoft announced that it was removing its policy of charging for Xbox 360 title updates. So, in a few months and with a little luck Fish will be able to get a patch out that addresses the issues in the 360 version of Fez. While it was a long wait, at this point fans will be able to wait a little longer for the fixes.
