Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet leaked

Honeycomb, practical keydock, stylus included
Lenovo’s upcoming ThinkPad tablet has popped up on the interweb and we must say that we are rather impressed.

A tech blog has managed to score Lenovo’s official PowerPoint presentation, revealing that the new ThinkPad, or should we say ThinkTab will be aimed at somewhat more serious consumers, or should we say business users. Based on Google’s Honeycomb OS and Nvidia’s Tegra 2 SoC, the device will ship with a very practical keyboard portfolio case, or keydock, which can transform it into an ultraportable notebook in no time. In addition, it features a 10-inch 1280x800 IPS panel and even an optional stylus.

The ThinkTab will ship with 16, 32 or 64GB of storage and it ships a mere 800g. It packs USB 2, micro USB, HDMI ports, as well as an SD card slot, 3G and 4G connectivity. Pretty impressive compared to other toy-like Android tablets. Getting back to the keydock, it is rather spacious and looks much like any contemporary ThinkPad keyboard. Best of all, it features a proper touchpad, which will be appreciated by users new to tablets.

The tablet should ship in July with a $499 price tag. You can check out the full presentation here.
