Huawei confirms P10 Lite

by on17 March 2017

Open for pre-order

Huawei has opened its P10 Light for pre-order.

The Lite looks a lot like the standard Huawei P10. It has 4GB of RAM and an octa-core chipset. The chipset is less exciting than the P10 and P10 Plus which has a Kirin 960. This one has the slightly disappointing Kirin 658.

It also has a fingerprint scanner, an 8MP front-facing camera and a 5.2 inches 1080p screen.

Obviously being “lite” the phone has a lot of cheaper cost cuts. The P10 Lite has just a single-lens 12MP rear camera for example, whereas the P10 has a dual-lens flavour. The P10 Lite also has a slightly smaller 3000mAh battery although it still supports fast charging.

The phone is still well made but there’s no home button below the screen, and the fingerprint scanner has been moved back to the back of the phone.

The P10 Lite is available to pre-order from today in the UK, at a price of £299. The P10 is likely to sell for around £550 so it is nearly more than half the price with a similar feature set. It should be in the UK on March 31
