LG G5 has full metal jacket

by on17 November 2015

Coming in Q1 2016

Early in the next quarter LG plans to reveal its G5 in a nice shiny new full metal body.

This hardly comes as a surprise, but Korean sources say the full metal body is already in design and might give LG a fighting chance against its main competitor Samsung.

Our same source suggested that it will be so pretty that it might help LG give Apple a good kicking, but iPhone users live in a different universe and they love their phones as much as they love their mums. A Borg collective doesn’t change its mind that easy and would dub metal bodies "irelavant" unless you have an Apple label on the back in which case it is "super, cool and inovative."

This is going to be first time in 10 years that LG will be back to metal. The last time LG used metal for its phone was in 2006 with the model called Shine [which it failed to live up to its name. ed].

LG tried to experiment with leather instead of plastic with LG G4 and this was a refreshing change in the overcrowded market. Then People reported that leather would wear out rather quickly.  Plastic was more sustainable, but it would result with cheaper non premium looking end result.

The LG V10 is supposed to be a dual screen phone [these are not dual screen as you would imagine ed] and now is back to metal. This phone has a stainless steel based body, it is a bit of a looker but weighing in at 192 grams it is the sumo of phablets.

Since iPhone 6S, HTC M9, Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, Note 5 are all metal phones, LG has to follow suit. They should probably use some lighter materials such as aluminum, but we doubt they will listen to us.
