Apple stuffs up iOS update

New "crashes" function

Apple customers are daring to complain after the new iOS 9 operating system which they got for free shipped with a super cool, game changing, crash your iPhone feature.

A significant number of Apple customers are reporting their mobile devices have crashed after attempting to upload the new iOS 9 operating system.

Twitter and other social media were awash with disgruntled customers reporting two distinct faults. Those who complain are usually lectured by Apple fanboys that the problem only effects a small number of users who have older iPhones and Ipads. Everyone knows that you have to upgrade your Apple hardware every year.

Apple geniuses are offering to wipe users phones of all inconvenient things like apps, photos and contact books, so the pristine operating system works.

Other than that you have to wait for Apple to acknowledge it has made another software cock-up which could be a few days to a couple years and then release a patch. Of course you could just hit the iPhone with a hammer and buy a proper phone.

Apple's headquarters in San Francisco has been responding in its traditional way. Its press office are sticking their fingers in their ears and saying Lah, Lah, Lah very loudly.

We expect in a few days it will make an announcement that it has released a patch and only a small number of people suffered from the problem.

Some people have managed to upgrade and we expect Apple to ask them to put notices in the comments section saying that "it worked first time for me and is great" when any story like this appears.

This is the second time that Apple has cocked up an update. iOS8 was a nightmare and some of the bugs have never been properly fixed.

One group of users reported that iOS 9 upgrade would fail after several minutes, requiring them to start the process over. Many posted screen shots of the error message they received: "Software Update Failed".
