AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition update now available

by on01 December 2015

Fix for fan issues and few new improvements

As promised yesterday, AMD's updated version of the Radeon Software Crimson Edition with Radeon Software 15.11.1 drivers is now available for download.

As we wrote yesterday, the original AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition had a major issue with fixed fan settings which forced some Radeon graphics cards to overheat, resulting in system freeze, crash or even damaged and broken graphics cards in some cases. AMD has quickly acknowleged the issue and has come up with a fix.

AMD also used this change to brag that the new Radeon Software Crimson Edition has been downloaded 2.5 million times which is quite an impressive number.

In addition to a fixed fan speed issue on certain graphics cards, AMD has also added a few improvements including including resolved issues in plenty of new games like Star Wars: Battlefront, Just Cause 3, Fallout 4, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 as well as some fixed issues with AMD Overdrive, Radeon Settings and more.

Available for Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 OS in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions and supporting all AMD Radeon graphics cards since Radeon HD 7700+ series, as well as AMD APUs based on those same GPUs, the new Radeon Software Crimson Edition with Radeon Software 15.11.1 driver can be found over at AMD's drivers support page.
