by on15 January 2015

Looks impressive running at CES

We had a chance to meet up with EVGA at CES 2015 and check out the latest and upcoming products, including the new EVGA GTX 980 Classified K|NGP|N Edition graphics card.

While EVGA still has not finallized the precise specifications of the new GTX 980 Classified K|NGP|N Edition and did not want to talk about the precise clocks but by the looks of it, this will be a heavily customized Geforce GTX 980 graphics card with better and beefier VRM part, factory-overclocked settings and a new ACX 2.0 cooler. As you can see from the pictures below, the new EVGA GTX 980 Classified graphics card will be powered by no less than two 8-pin and single 6-pin PCI-Express power connectors, which will ensure enough power for hard-core overclockers.

Since this a K|NGP|N Edition graphics card, there will also be plenty of overclocking-friendly features as well. As you can see from the pictures, EVGA also tweaked display outputs as well as the rear bracket in order to make it ready for single slot usage, in case user decides to ditch the ACX 2.0 dual-fan cooler and equip the GTX 980 Classified with a single-slot liquid cooling block.

Unfortunately, EVGA was not ready to talk about the precise specifications, price, or availability date, but since the graphics card was already running at CES 2015, we are sure that we will not wait for it too long.
