Trump loses shine for Intel CEO

by on02 February 2017

Can’t support travel ban

During the election, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich was closely associated with Donald (Prince of Orange) Trump and was set to run a fundraiser for him until the press found out.

However, it seems that Krzanich might be having second thoughts. He told employees the company does not support an executive order banning incoming travel from seven predominantly Muslim countries.

"I have heard from many of you, and share your concern over the recent executive order and want you to know this is not a policy we can support," he said.

Most technology companies are anti Trump's immigration order but Krzanich had only said publicly only that Intel was in favour of "lawful immigration" which could have meant anything. The ban from selected Muslim countries on the basis that Trump does not have investments there does seem a little arbitrary.

Intel is Oregon's largest private employer, according to the newspaper and his staff have obviously asked him. After all, Krzanich came under scrutiny during the presidential campaigns for hosting a fundraiser for Trump, which he later cancelled.

It does look like Krzanich is starting to lose confidence in the bloke he helped elect.
