Bloke sends back MacBook for being too thin

by on05 February 2015

Bent too easily

A British bloke thought he was onto a winner when he paid a reasonable price for an Apple MacBook on eBay. Paul Barrington, 38, paid £300 for the MacBook which normally costs £1,500 when bought new.

He thought he was onto a bargin and flogged his surfboard to buy his entry card into the consumer cargo cult. Apparently he thought he could use it to start his new career as a wedding DJ.

However he was a little disappointed when the MacBook was too thin and bendy for him to use.

It turns out that Barrington had been sent a photocopy of a picture of the MacBook.

eBay have pledged to refund Paul in full as they launch an investigation into the matter, but he is a little upset he can't surf anymore.

"It's the first time I haven't had a surfboard since I was 10 years old but I need a laptop so I checked the listing and the seller's rating.

He should have smelt a rat, the price was reasonable for a normal laptop.  Still when you buy Apple you get what you pay for.
