Kinect enabled Infinity Blade coming

by on02 December 2014

To China on Xbox One first

Infinity Blade is coming to the Xbox One. Not the way you might think however. Leaked game footage confirms that the game will be named Infinity Blade Destiny/Fate and it will be an all Kinect controlled game for release in China on Xbox One.

From what we have been able to figure out, the game will be released in China for the Xbox One first and right now there is apparently no clue if we will ever see a version of it released in the West. Still Infinity Blade is a high profile get on the Xbox One and the fact that it is Kinect controller should make things interesting.

The decision to do a Chinese only release of Infinity Blade isn’t really as much of a mystery as you might think with Tencent the Chinese company who owns 40 per cent of Epic in the background, it seems like a good fit. Tencent has been teasing the game on its web site, but never calling it by the Infinity Blade name.

As for the Kinect use in the game, Infinity Blade was originally designed by Chair to be a Kinect title, but later on it was decided to go the touch screen control instead.
