We wonder if it will ever make release

Ubisoft has announced again that the release for the MMO driver known as The Crew is having its release date bumped back again. Now it will be destined for retailer shelves on December 2nd in North America and December 5th in Europe.

While all of the reasons that the big open world car racing game is again being delayed are not exactly known. What we do know is the a second beta for console players is coming in November and the development team is seeking more valuable feedback in order to tune the game to enhance it prior to release.

Currently a closed beta is going on to test the performance of the online parts of the game. The game which was originally announced quite some time ago for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, but it has been delayed a couple of times to allow for more work on the game in an effort to get it right. Ubisoft is hoping that The Crew will be a long term franchise for the publisher and as a result it is essential that they get it right from the start. It will be interesting to see if all of the delays and testing yield a much better game in the end.
