Triad Wars announcement leaves fans confused

by on24 September 2014

Why didn’t you just make Sleeping Dogs 2 instead?

United Front has pulled the curtain back on its new Free-To-Play PC game set in the Sleeping Dogs universe called Triad Wars. With news that a closed beta is coming soon, the open-world PC game where you take the side of criminal looks to be good.

The game will be released in early 15 for the PC only and Triad Wars is a PC only title that is being described as the “flip-side” of Sleeping Dogs. The thing is however, man fans of the original console release are scratching their heads and wondering what United Front is trying to pull here, especially after the announcement of Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is coming.

Many fans are asking why United Front didn’t just make Sleeping Dogs 2, which is want the fans apparently want. Some fans have indicated that they don’t understand why United Front thought this Triad Wars game makes more sense than the release of an actual sequel of the first Sleeping Dogs.

You can register for the closed beta of Triad Wars here.
