AMD Never Settle Forever bundle hits 200-series cards

by on21 April 2014

Three tiers, loads of new titles

AMD’s Never Settle bundles have been around for a while and the community response has been extremely positive. When AMD launched Hawaii-based products and rebranded much of the HD 7000 series last year, it did not extend the bundle to new cards, or newly rebranded cards.

At the time AMD informed us that the bundle would be back and now it’s finally here. The AMD Never Settle Forever bundle went live on Monday, April 21. Like previous Never Settle bundles it has three tiers depending on what sort of card you decide to pick up.

AMD Never Settle Forever tiers

The Gold Reward tier is reserved for high-end products. It covers all Hawaii- and Tahiti-based cards, i.e. R9 295X2, R9 290X, R9 290 and R9 280-series graphics cards. Owners of R9 270 and R7 260 Radeons will enjoy the Silver Reward, while the Bronze reward covers R7 250 and R7 240 products.

It’s a bit different than previous Never Settle bundles. Gold gets you three free games, Silver two and Bronze means you are looking at one free title. However, AMD is offering indie game packs as well. There are five indie packs to choose from and one pack will consume one choice, so a Silver card owner can pick up an indie pack and one big budget game, or no indies and two games.

Gold and Silver bundles offer a choice of 17 titles, while the Bronze title gives you access to ten titles. The indie packs are available across the range.

Availability, additional freebies

AMD Never Settle Forever bundles will be available in just about every market, but Japanese gamers won’t get the same choice as their counterparts in EMEA or the US.

Retailers will start handing out coupons on April 21 and they can be redeemed over the next five months, with August 31 as the cut-off date. AMD points out that consumers need to make sure that their retailer is participating in the promotion, so please bear this in mind if you are in the market for a new Radeon.

AMD is also offering a free three-month trial of its add-on for the Splashtop remote desktop, a discount for RAMDisk purchases and a few other freebies. You can head over to the official AMD Never Settle Forever promo page for additional details.
