Expedition DLC pack and more updates

During his appearance at PAX East panel and confirmed on Twitter, Titanfall developer Respawn confirmed that the first DLC pack for the game which is named Expedition will arrive in May. In addition to the DLC pack, which will be the first for the new shooter, additional updates are incoming soon as well.

The Expedition DLC package will include three new maps which are said to be named Swampland, Runoff, and Wargames. Swampland is said to be set among alien ruins and will allow players to wall run on trees. Runoff could be the most interesting as it will feature water on a map for the first time. Wargames is said to be based on the training simulator.

Additional updates are said to include new Burn Cards and “hastag” matchmaking filters. A new game mode that is said to be coming is a new 2 vs. 2 mode of Last Titan Standing which could prove to be very popular. Talk of Left 4 Dead like mutations that would be a limited-time option that Respawn is calling “riffs” are a possibility as well. No word on when these updates might actually be included in one of the actual game updates.

While the DLC maps will cost money, the new game modes will delivered in updates for free.
