Shaq Fu Reborn has not reached its goal

by on11 April 2014

Needs to raise $450K to make it to consoles

When we first started hearing about the possibility that Shaquille O’Neal was trying to crowdfund a new Shaq Fu game we honestly didn’t quite know what to think. Could it be that people were really interested in funding a infiegogo squeal?

Well it is being attempted to crowdfund Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn which is a real sequel to the 90s Shaq Fu. Word is that if the minimum funding goal of $450K is met it will be released on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Wii U. Right now the sequel has only been able to raise a little over $140K with 25 days left to go.

What perhaps is the most interesting about this game, isn’t the game but the perks. Shaq has offered a number of interesting bonus perks if you are willing to shell out the cash to support the development. Everything from a personalized voicemail from Shaq himself to a signed Shaq Fu shirt to lunch at Shaq’s house and a game of pickup basketball. Of course if you have $20K you and six friends can have dinner with Shaq himself or how about an evening at TNT Studios as Shaq’s guest for a taping of NBA on TNT. We have our eye on the $35K it will take to have Shaq come and DJ our next party. We only need to figure out how to get the $35K that it will take.
