Nvidia backtracks on GTA V statement

Written by Fudzilla staff

Oops, we don’t really know when it’s coming

Earlier this week we reported on an accidental Nvidia slip up. During the company’s latest earnings call Nvidia’s senior director of investor relations Chris Evenden said GTA V for PC should show up this fall.

Now Nvidia is saying that the statement was all wrong and that it was made with the intent of expressing enthusiasm for the games industry in general and it was not meant to represent “specific knowledge” possessed by Nvidia.

“Nvidia does not have information on any possible PC version release of Grand Theft Auto or its availability. We deeply regret the error,” the company said in a statement.

GTA V is coming to consoles on September 17, but now it appears that PC gamers will have to wait a bit longer.
