Insomniac confirms no more changes

Electronic Arts has confirmed that the most release date change that saw Insomniac’s first multiplatform title, Fuse, change once again from March to May 28th is now a solid date. The developer confirmed at PAX East that the title will make the May28th release date for North America. (Fuse will release on May 31st in Europe.)

According to the developers during PAX East, the extra time has given the studio a lot of additional time to polish Fuse. The payoff for all of this extra polish and attention to detail is, of course, that the game becomes successful and a franchise, if CEO Ted Price of Insomniac is to have his way. Fuse is the first Insomniac multiplatform offering and the first title to be published and distributed for the studio by EA.

For EA and Insomniac, there is a lot riding on the success of Fuse; but it is hard to tell if all of the work to get the word out about the title has been successful. Still, from what we can see, the game appears to have a lot to offer and has the potential to be a come-out-of-nowhere hit. We will have to wait and see how this shakes out when the game finally makes it to release.
