MSI joins AMD A55 club

by on31 August 2011

Cheap and cheerful mATX
MSI is the latest vendor to roll out a cheap, no thrills A55 motherboard. The A55 is basically a stripped down version of AMD’s A75 chipsets, for people who really don’t need USB 3.0 and SATA III, i.e. most people who go for entry level rigs.

The A55M-P35 is a mATX board with two memory slots, a PCIe x16 slot, two PCIe x1 slots and a plain PCI slot. The usual array of SATA, USB, LAN and video outputs is on board as well.

The A55M-P35 has yet to hit retail, but we expect it will sell for about €50.
