Konami’s upcoming answer to Guitar Hero and Rock Band has gotten its full tracklist and although Konami is the originator of this gaming genre, Guitar Hero, beat them to the punch in the rest of the world. However, just a glance at a tracklist reveals that Konami is not giving up without a fight.

Among the artists you’ll find Metallica, Megadeth, Foo Fighters, System of a Down, Korn, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Pantera, etc., although it’s important to note that these songs will, of course, not be originals but covers made for the game.

However, what yours truly is sincerely hoping for is for these bands to stop appearing on the TV saying how they accepted the proposition to sell their songs because “this game is truly revolutionary, yadda, yadda, and it gives people a chance, yadda, yadda.” It’s not a secret that it’s been a long time since you’ve done anything that doesn’t involve financial injection. You know it, we know it, so at least be honest about it!

The game should hit the shelves on October 15th and we’ll see XboX 360, PS3, Wii and a DS version, although the DS version will come with only 20 songs.

You can view the full tracklist here.
