Hellgate: London billing will stop

Former Blizzard North developers who formed Flagship Studios have been coming under increasing pressure as of late and recently laid off the majority of the company’s employees. Word reached us that despite the problems the company continues to forge ahead.

Hellgate: London which was the company’s first title, sold about 200,000 copies for the PC, but due to the software being riddled with multiple bugs, many players didn’t care for it.

While Flagship is not accepting new subscribers for Hellgate: London it is also going to cut billing for those who were subscribing. They still own the rights to the engine and technology, and the game Mythos that is in development.

No clue as to if they are going to continue development or get an infusion of cash to move forward. We suggest that the future is in doubt, but you never know what may happen next; and at least for the time being, Flagship will press on.
