$125 million on first day

Microsoft is predicting that the release of Halo for the Xbox 360 will make more than $125 million on its first day.

This is the mark set by its predecessor and it seems that Microsoft is hoping that the game will save its Xbox video game business from six years of losses and post its first-ever profit.

Analysts are predicting that the game could even keep the Xbox 360 from losing ground to Sony's PS3 and keep the company out of the market.

This is because anyone who wants to play "Halo 3" will have to buy an Xbox 360, since Microsoft makes the software only for its own machine.
