March 25th 2008. is the date

Funcom and Eidos have announced a new release date for their highly anticipated MMORPG, Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. The release date is pushed from October 30th this year all the way to March 25th 2008.

According to the press release, the new release date is set so Funcom can "continue to focus on honing, polishing and improving the qualities of the game". What is the real reason behind this, we are free to say big delay, that will just remain a mystery, at least for now.

“We naturally regret that we have to push back ‘Age of Conan’. However, after careful consideration, and analysis of recent Beta feedback, we believe that the new release date is in the best interest of the gamers, our company and our owners,” said Trond Arne Aas, CEO of Funcom.
