The plan hasn't changed

We learned that AMD is still planning to introduce its dual and triple core CPUs in Q2 2008. AMD believes that the market will accept these and that tripple core is a nice and unique feature that they can offer.

AMD also believes that dual core is not an enthusiast  high end processor anymore, and that these users are migrating toward quad core.

The company needs to get these CPUs out to increase the average selling price of its CPUs and AMD knows this.
